ATRS Meets & Mingles at Central Cities Association’s Elected Officials Reception
Recently, ATRS Government Relations Advocate (GRA) Louis Lujan had the honor of attending the Central City Association of Los Angeles (CCALA) biennial Elected Officials Reception. This event is designed to honor the work of elected leaders in each of the 88 cities in LA County, many of which are home to ATRS Clothing & Shoe Recyclers that benefit our local nonprofit partners at Giving Children Hope. Over 300 elected officials were in attendance, including Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

The reception was an excellent opportunity to speak about textile recycling with elected officials from all over our Southern California market. Many attendees were supportive and appreciative of the fact that an ATRS team member was present to answer questions about the important benefits of textile recycling in their communities and nationwide. Officials were pleased to hear about our partnership with Giving Children Hope, and it was a great opportunity to showcase how ATRS-provided funding does so much good for families in need throughout Southern California.
CCALA is a very well-organized group that represents the LA business community. They are a leading voice on important city- and state-wide issues, and we were so grateful for the chance to meet & mingle with them last month. We hope to further our relationship with CCALA as they advance policy that creates a greener tomorrow for Los Angeles, Southern California and beyond.
Thanks to CCALA for hosting us! If there’s a business organization we should visit or join to highlight the work we do in your community, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or comment here. We’d love to hear from you!
