Celebrate Recycled Fashion at the 3rd Annual Trash2Trends Show

You will never guess what extraordinary treasures can be created from the things we throw out everyday. Luckily, if you live in Orlando, you can see for yourself! This weekend, join us for the 3rd annual Trash2Trends fashion show as we celebrate an evening of recycled fashion at SeaWorld Orlando’s Ports or Call, all to benefit Keep Orlando Beautiful.

The extravagant runway show features over-the-top recycled fashion designed by over 30 local artists. These eco-minded innovators display their creativity through wearable fashion pieces constructed from items that would normally end up in the Orlando landfill, all showcased on a glamorous green runway. All garments are made from a variety of different trash materials, including plastic bottles, cardboard, wire, fabrics and even game pieces, truly highlighting the concept of “closing the loop.”

Every year, ATRS kicks off the event with the Mix Mingle & Materials Party. Hosted on January 14 at the ATRS recycling facility in Orlando, the event was attended by local businesses and eco-fashionistas who were invited to see winning designs from last year’s show, meet this year’s designers and preview the materials collected at the facility for upcycling. It was a fun night to get all attendees pumped for what is in store on the green runway!

If you’d like to join this celebration of fashion and fun while supporting a great cause, tickets are still available at 2016trash2trends.eventbrite.com. We hope to see you at this Evening of Recycled Fashion. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @atrsrecycling for behind the scenes shots of the event!

Donating and recycling your clothes and shoes is not just a trend, it’s a lifestyle! Participate year round throughout the Central Florida community by dropping off gently used, unwanted textiles at your neighborhood ATRS bin. Call our 24-Hr Hotline at 866-900-9308 to find a location near you!
